Healthcare Innovator Using Halloween Spirit to Raise Money for a Worthy Cause

‘ScholarScripts Spooktacular Costume Contest’ fundraising for CFC one vote at a time

COLLINSVILLE, Conn., October 1, 2019 – Connecticut-based company, RemedyOne, is committed to making a difference in the lives of pediatric cancer survivors this Halloween season. The first annual “ScholarScripts Spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest” is a fun way that the community can get involved. ScholarScripts, RemedyOne’s charitable foundation, is raising money for Cancer for College, a charity that helps deserving, in-need, cancer survivors realize their dream of a college education so they can have a positive impact on the world.

“The vision of the Spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest is not only a fun way to raise money for Cancer for College and amazing survivors, it’s also a way to give back to the community,” says Mike Waterbury, RemedyOne’s Founder and CEO. “This contest allows every participant an avenue to win a cash prize or scholarship for themselves and generate donations to a worthy cause.”

The contest is simple; participants take a photo of themselves or their furry friends wearing a Halloween costume, submit the photo in one of the eight given categories at www.gogophotocontest.com/scholarscripts, then share to their social networks and get their friends and family to vote for their picture. The participant with the most votes in each of the separate categories wins his or her choice of $500 in cash or a $500 scholarship. The overall winner with the most votes wins an additional $1,000.

Each vote is $1 – with no limit on how many times someone can vote. Categories include Babies/Children, College Students, Teens/Adults, Furry Friends, Groups, Super Heroes, Will Ferrell Characters and Game of Thrones.

“We have high hopes for this campaign,” says Greg Flores, Executive Director of Cancer for College. “Hitting ScholarScripts’ fundraising goal will show just how caring and compassionate we can be as a society.”

The campaign goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000 but anything is possible if you dream big with a positive attitude. The Spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest begins Oct. 1, 2019 and ends Nov. 4, 2019. For more information, including contest rules, visit www.gogophotocontest.com/scholarscripts.
